According to a report today on CBS, a new research study conducted at the University of Pennsylvania has revealed that Psoriasis sufferers are also at more risk from at least one major medical condition. About 15 percent of psoriasis patients may develop psoriatic arthritis (a painful condition affecting the joints throughout the body). Analyzing data from more than 9,000 people with psoriasis -- more than half had mild psoriasis, 36 percent had moderate cases of psoriasis and 12 percent had severe psoriasis affecting more than 10 percent of their skin's surface area.
