Treatments for Psoriasis of the nails
Psoriasis of the nails can be very distressing. Not only can it be immensely irritating, but it can also cause immense embarrassment.
Other than the face, the nails and hands are areas where, when affected, cannot be hidden easily. This is why, when the nails are affected by Psoriasis, many sufferers will resort to any treatments – even harsh chemical treatments and corticosteroids – no matter how serious the side effects may be.
Most conventional topical treatments are simply not designed to treat Psoriasis of the nails as the skin under the nail is very difficult to get to, and chemical treatments taken orally have a plethora of known adverse side-effects.
Fortunately, there are simple solutions that can help to alleviate the symptoms, and in many cases, effectively erradicate them altogether.
We have found that the following program help many people overcome Psoriasis of the Nails:
1. Take M-Folia Herbal Extract internally – 14 drops – 3 x daily in a little water. This starts working from the inside of your body. However, it can take time to start to make an impact on the nails, especially if your circulation is poor. For this reason, and for faster effects, we then recommend:
2. Bathe the nails for three minutes in a bowl of very hot water with M-Folia Psoriasis Bath Oil. Then immediately put the nails into a small bowl of very cold water for one minute. Repeat this three times consecutively. Pat dry and apply M-Folia Psoriasis Cream or Psoriasis Ointment on and around the nail. If possible, cover with the tips of the fingers and nails with air-tight plasters.
3. Use the Photo Therapy Lamp – this enables very precise treatment directing the healing rays to nails and surrounding tissues. The UVB Light rays contain many healing properties, eliminating bacteria, funghi and aiding the body to manufacture vitamin D & promote healthy tissues. 4. Take Mineral supplements – this should be in liquid form for maximum absorbancy and contain at least 70 minerals and trace elements including Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc & Selenium. We recommend Maximol as the best mineral supplements on the market at the moment.
5. Drink plenty of water and try to balance your pH foods – avoid acid-forming foods and eating plenty of alkaline foods. Maintaining a healthy pH Acid-Alkaline balance is vital.
IMPORTANT NOTE: It is advisable to consult your health practitioner, Dermatologist or GP before changing your current treatment regime.
