Q. Is Nigella Sativa safe to take by lactating mothers?
A. Nigella Sativa Oil is perfectly safe to take while lactating and breast feeding and confers many health benefits.

Q. What is the optimum dosage?
A. Nigella Sativa is often prescribed by medical herbalists for chronic/acute health problems in doses of up to 3 tablespoons a day. However we recommend people start on a low dose and build up gradually to a dose that suits them. The starting dose may be 0.5 teaspoon twice daily before food, and this may build up to 1 tablespoon twice daily, as a regular daily dose until all symptoms are clear. As a maintenance dose, i.e. once good health is resumed, we recommend just half a teaspoon twice daily.

Q. What period of time should I build up the dose?
A. We recommend that you start on a low dose of half a teaspoon 2-3 times a day before meals and build up over two weeks. This is because the first organ that the Nigella Sativa oil cleans is the stomach and intestines, and a high dose may cause too rapid cleansing and this can lead to belching, possibly gurgling of the stomach. It can take up to ten days before the stomach and intestines adjust to the detoxification and only then will the Nigella Sativa work its way deeper into the body.

Q. What dosage did the people who submitted testimonials take?
A. Mr Charles Lippa continues to take just one half teaspoon daily and his symptoms were cleared on that low dose. However, all people are different and, for this reason and to achieve optimum results in the fastest time frame, we recommend that you build up to a level that suits you. Once sysmptoms are alleviated, you can slowly reduce the dosage down to one half teaspoon twice daily.

Q. When should I notice results?
A. Each person is, of course, different. Some people notice results within hours, especially for conditions like sore throats or allergies. Similarly, when applied topically, improvements will be noticed very quickly. Chronic skin conditions like Psoriasis & Eczema can take weeks before significant improvements start to show. All research related to chronic skin conditions is acrred out over a minimum of 12 weeks and so we recommend that you continue to use Nigella Sativa oil for 12 weeks.

Q. Once my symptoms have gone, do I need to keep taking Nigella Sativa?
A. We recommend that you continue using Nigella sativa even once symptoms have gone as a maintenance/preventive dose. The Nigella sativa has so many health-promoting compounds that it makes sense to keep taking it to maintain good health. It is one of the most potent and important nutritional supplements you can take. A maintenance dose can be as low as half a teaspoon once or twice daily.
